Vestal Evelyn 'June' Webb


Vestal Evelyn (June) Webb 85 of Townsend died Saturday morning, January 17, 2004, at Colonial Hills Nursing Home.

She was a pioneer Business Woman in Alaska before it became a state. She owned and operated her own bar and built her own log cabin.

She moved to Tempe, AZ to care for her ailing father, and moved to Townsend in the early 1970s.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Dan C. Webb and Essie Graves Arehart, brothers: Vernon, Joseph, and Lawrence (Franko) Webb. She is survived by her sisters-in-law: Lucy Webb, Wreath Webb, and Patricia Green, numerous nieces and nephews, and special friends: Hope Walker, Kevin Shields, and Steven Myers.

Funeral services will be at 8:00 P.M. Monday, January 19, 2004, at Memorial Funeral home in Maryville, Family and friends will meet at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, January 20, 2004, at Caylors' Chapel Cemetery for a Graveside services. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home.
