Afoa Aliitasi Suapaia

Anchorage resident Afoa Aliitasi Suapaia, 71, died April 5, 2010, at Providence Alaska Medical Center.

A visitation will be at 9 a.m. April 17 at St. Anthony Catholic Church. A service will be afterward at 10 a.m. with Rev. Pale Teofilo Schmidt officiating.

Afoa was born March 28, 1939, in Fagatogo, American Samoa. She began her residency in Alaska in 2009. She worked for the Rainmaker Hotel in American Samoa and in 2004 she was a part of the American Samoa Senior Citizen Organization.

She is survived by her sons, Apereanio, Konelio, Lefafao and Usoalii Faletagoai; daughter, Frances Ilalio; grandsons, Faimanifo, Tipasa, Adam, Cody, John, Frankie, Abraham and Usoalii C. Faletagoai; granddaughters, Margaret, Annie, Hana, Lika, Cecilia and Lourdes Faletagoai; and great-granddaughters, Ariel and Annevaeh Faletagoai;

Arrangements are with Legacy Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, Witzleben Bragaw Chapel.
