Legail Scarborough

Chugiak resident Legail Scarborough, 53, died of natural causes Sept. 26, 2004, at her home.

A visitation and service were held Sept 30, 2004, at Evergreen Memorial Chapel in Anchorage.

Mrs. Scarborough was born Jan. 18, 1951, in Franklin, Ga. She lived in Hoganville, Ga., before moving to Alaska in 1976.

A retirement services officer at Fort Richardson, her family said she had received numerous awards throughout her civilian career.

"She enjoyed reading, cruise travel, shopping with family and spoiling grandchildren. She was also dedicated to helping others."

Survivors include her husband, Jim Scarborough, Sr., of Chugiak; daughters, Amanda Scarborough of Chugiak and Jennifer Scarborough of Anchorage; son, Jimmy Scarborough, Jr., of Anchorage; granddaughters, Adrienne and Arielle Scarborough of Chugiak and Abigail Kerr of Anchorage; grandson, Samuel Kerr of Anchorage; son-in-law, Daniel Kerr of Anchorage; daughter-in-law, Nicole Gauthier of Anchorage; mother and father, Jean and Merlin Webb of Hogansville; sisters, Cheryl Noles of Atlanta and Carol Braswell of Hogansville; brother, Mike Webb of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; and son, Robert Kolbicka of San Diego, Calif.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the American Heart Association, 1057 W. Fireweed Lane, Suite 206, Anchorage, AK 99503.
