Theodore John Sayen

Theodore John Sayen, 76, passed away at his home in Wasilla on April 22, 2015.

Theodore was a loving husband and father. He married his childhood sweetheart, Laura, in 1957 and they had nine children. He started working at the Whittier Small Boat Harbor in Whittier in 1990 and retired in 2000.

Known for his strong personality and morals, he will be greatly missed by those who loved him and knew him. The family is at peace that he is with his love, Laura, again.

Preceding him in death was his wife, Laura.

Surviving are his sons, Theodore Sayen Jr., Daniel Sayen, David Sayen, Benjamin Sayen, and Matthew Sayen; daughters, Hannah Sayen Miller, Ruth Sayen, Rachel Sayen Tolman, and Jennifer Sayen DeFreest; 22 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life is at noon, May 16, at the home of Matthew Sayen, 181 E. Snowbird Ln., Wasilla. Flowers can be sent to 1322 N. Pioneer Peak Dr. Wasilla, AK 99654. Burial is at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park, Toledo, Ohio.
