Edward William Rosevear

Edward William Rosevear, 89, died April 19, 2007, at the Palmer Pioneer Home in Palmer. A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 19, 2007, at 4:30 p.m. at the Sunny Knik Chapel, Mile 14 Knik Rd., Wasilla.

A full obituary will be run at a later date. Local arrangements were provided by Kehl's Palmer Mortuary.

David Harvey Myers

David Harvey Myers, 71, died April 28, 2007, at his home in Sutton, of natural causes. A gathering of family and friends will be held at his home in Sutton on Saturday, May 5, 2007, at 1 p.m.

David was born Jan. 31, 1936, in Columbia County, Penn. He served in the Army and came to Alaska with his family in 1950.

David joined the International Union of Operating Engineers 302 in 1955 and was a member until death. He worked at the coal mines in Sutton until they closed. He retired from construction in 1996.

David enjoyed traveling to the states. His family wrote: &#8220He loved little children and small animals most in the world, spending a small fortune every winter feeding the birds and squirrels. Dave took great pride in the fact that the beavers helped him getting the wood for his woodpile, making things much easier for him in his last years.”

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Rosetta Myers, and his son, William Daniel, "Billy.”

He is survived by his wife, Norina Delores; son, David Lee Myers and his lady Machelle; daughter, Sandra Dee Myers, all living in Sutton; siblings, Esther Myers of Anchorage, Rosetta "Sis” Dragseth of Kenai, Elizabeth "Bets” Anderson of Wasilla, Earl "Buzz” Myers of Costa Rica and Ruth "Ike” Sieloff of Palmer; also 20 nieces and nephews.

Local arrangements were provided by Kehl's Palmer Mortuary.
