George Rivard, Jr.


ANCHORAGE, Alaska — George Rivard Jr., 68, formerly of Franklin, N.H., died July 25, 2001, at Providence Hospital in Anchorage after a long
illness.

He was born in Franklin, N.H., Sept. 14, 1932, the son of George Rivard and Leontine (Cote) Rivard. He was a graduate of Franklin High School, class of 1951.

He lived in Portland, Ore., before moving to Alaska 35 years ago. Mr. Rivard worked as a crane operator on projects such as the Alaska
Pipeline, the North Slope project, and the Valdez oil spill.

He was predeceased by two sons, George Rivard III and Kenneth Rivard.

The family includes a son, David Rivard of Chiloquin, Ore.; a granddaughter; three sisters, Lorraine Legere of Claremont, Fla., Gloria Crosby of Tilton, N.H., and Joan Sheehan of Campton, N.H.; and a rother, Roland Rivard of Hill, N.H.
