Hester (Rose) Reisner

Longtime Palmer resident Hester (Rose) Reisner, 78, passed away peacefully Aug. 18, 2013, at home.

A memorial service is at 3 p.m., Aug. 23 at Kehl’s Palmer Mortuary, 209 S. Alaska St., Palmer.

Rose was born April 12, 1935, in Garden Plain, Ill., to Donavon Snyder and Heloise Turner. Rose moved to Alaska in 1961 while working for General Electric and married Ronald (Bob) Reisner on Nov. 26, 1962.

Together they managed Inlet Towers from 1965 to 1975. In 1975, they opened Artistic Tile Co. and owned and operated it until their retirement in 2005.

Rose was preceded in death by her parents; son, Shawn Reisner; sister, Brenda McBroom; and brothers, Donovan and Kelvin Snyder.

Surviving are her devoted husband, Ronald Reisner; daughter, Colleen of Palmer; son, Robert of Seward; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and her little red Jeep.
