June A. Moore

Kenai resident June A. Moore died Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2003, of a sudden illness at the home of her daughter in Filer, Idaho. She was 73.

A memorial service will take place at a later date at the American Legion in Kenai.

Mrs. Moore was born June 25, 1930, in Arlington, Wash., to Ben and Florence Olsen. She grew up and attended school in Arlington. In 1949, she married Don Erickson and they were later divorced. She later married Frank Moore.

Mrs. Moore lived in Kenai for the past 30 years. She served in the American Legion Auxiliary Unit No. 20 of Kenai the past 18 years and also was a member of the Elks Lodge and the Moose Lodge of Kenai.

"She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend. She had a wonderful heart and a kind spirit and was one who never met a stranger. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her," her family said.

Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Moore; daughter, Ann Bellm; and grandson, James Howard.

She is survived by her children, Dan (Becky) Erickson of Palm Harbor, Fla., Shawna Dally of Filer, Jeff (Kristee) Erickson of Winlock, Wash., and Julie Ann Russell of Palmer; special granddaughter, Roni Erickson of Kenai; sisters, Lorraine Nichols of Steilacoom, Wash., and Florence Pryor of Arlington; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends, Will Krieter and Jack Harwager, both of Kenai.

Arrangements were made by Reynolds Funeral Chapel of Twin Falls, Idaho.
