Richard Giles

Houston resident Richard Giles, 53, died of natural causes Sept. 19 at his residence in Houston.

A memorial service will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. at Alaskan Heritage Memorial Chapel, 440 East Klatt Rd. in Anchorage.

Richard was born Nov. 20, 1955 in Chicago.

He served in the Army for five years.

Richard worked as a hotel janitor.

He was preceded in death by his father, l’mordy Giles Sr.; mother, Jaunita Giles and uncle, William Huffman.

He is survived by his wife, Eva John; sons, Isaac A.G. John–Giles and David J. John; daughters, Lena A. John–Giles and Lola J. Giles; step-sons, Chris J.W. John and Eddie John; step-daughters, Alice M. Anawrok and Alicia M. Anawrok; sisters, Jaunita Hull, Delores Giles, Sheila Giles and Anna Moore; brothers, l’mordy Giles Jr., and John Giles; aunty, Anna Lucas–Robert; mother-in-law, Maru John; father-in-law, Evon John and sister-in-law, Vivian Seal.

Arrangements are with Alaskan Heritage Memorial Chapel in Wasilla.
