 Rose (Drussell) Fielder

 

Rose (Drussell) Fiedler, 93, formerly of Winona, died at her home in Big Lake, Alaska, on December 28, 2002.

She was born in Minneiska, Minn., to Henry and Lizzie (Daniel) Drussell on November 18, 1909. She married Wilton Fiedler in Winona on April 20, 1929. They had two daughters.

In July 1944, Rose and her family moved to Anchorage, Alaska. In the 1970s, the family moved to Big Lake, Alaska, where she lived the rest of her life. In the later years, Rose and Wilton spent their winters in Kona, Hawaii, where she loved it dearly.

She was preceded in death by her husband, nine brothers, and five sisters.

She is survived by her daughters, Jean (Herb) McKinney and Joan (Dick) Estes; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Marguirite Drussell of Warsaw, MO., and Gladys Drussell of Winona; and many nieces and nephews.

At her request, Rose was cremated and had no funeral services.

She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
