Matthew Glendon Castimore

Kenai resident Matthew Glendon Castimore died Saturday, Dec. 20, 2003, at his home in Kenai. He was 27.

Memorial services will held be at 2 p.m. today, Dec. 23, at the United Methodist Church of the New Covenant at the intersection of the Kenai Spur Highway and Bluff Street in Kenai. Pastor Jon Walters will officiate.

Mr. Castimore was born June 12, 1976, in Ketchikan. He and his family moved to Kenai in 1978. He most recently worked as a cook at Louie's Restaurant in Kenai.

Mr. Castimore was a member of the United Methodist Church of the New Covenant in Kenai, the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge No. 1942 in Kenai and a former member of Boy Scouts Troop No. 357 in Kenai.

"We will remember his fine sense of humor and his kindness to others," his family said.

Mr. Castimore is survived by his parents, Jack and Troy Castimore of Kenai; brother, Daniel Castimore of Homer; grandfather, Dean Castimore of Sparta, N.J.; girlfriend, Michelle Childers of Kenai; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Memorial contributions may be sent to the charity of the donor's choice.
