Robin Stewart Adams

Robin Stewart Adams, 65, of Wasilla, passed away Jan. 25, 2014, at home after a long battle with cancer.

A viewing for friends and family is from 1 to 5 p.m., Jan. 30 at the Valley Funeral Home, 151 E. Herning Ave., Wasilla.

Robin was born on Oct. 27, 1948, in Worcester, Mass. In 1968, Robin joined the U.S. Army and was a Vietnam veteran. He was discharged from the U.S. Army in 1974. Robin was employed by People Mover, which is the Anchorage city bus transit system. He retired in 2010.

Robin loved golf and watching classic movies. He had a great love of music.

Robin was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and attended the Memory Lakes Ward in Wasilla. Robin was a skilled organist and played the organ at his ward.

Surviving are his wife, Nancy J. Adams; three daughters; four sons; 15 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; four sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Robin will be missed by all who knew him. He was able to spend his last years travelling with his wife Nancy, completing his “bucket list” activities and destinations.

“We love you, Dad!” his family wrote.
