[No date given - see postmark]

Mary's funeral services were held today in this house.  About a hundred beautiful floral offerings.  Dr. Young conducted the services.  Willis Howell played.  The Empire says no human shock in Juneau has ever been so great as the untimely passing of the Florence Nightingale of the North.

Poor Karl was not equal to the funeral or going to the cemetery, so our family were her mourners, though he whole town mourns her.  The little Baby is fine.

Allie and Ozzie were with us five hours last night and Gladys M. came.  Daddie expects to come home about the 23rd.
