Umkumiute
 Umkumiute
is located on Nelson Island in the Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta, adjacent to
Toksook Bay. It lies at approximately 60° 30' N Latitude, 165° 12' W
Longitude (Sec. 26, T005N, R091W, Seward Meridian). The community is
located in the Bethel Recording District. The area encompasses 0 sq.
miles of land and 0 sq. miles of water.
The resources of this area have been
used by Yup'ik Eskimos for thousands of years. During 1950,
approximately 100 residents were enumerated in the village.
